Frequently Asked Questions

Hiring a wedding content creator looks a little different than booking a traditional photographer or videographer, and that’s the point. This page walks you through what I do, how it works, and what it actually feels like to have your day captured in a way that’s candid, immediate, and true to you. Candidly Ever After is based in Montana, traveling wherever your wedding day takes you.

About Wedding Content Creation

What is a wedding content creator?

I’m there to capture all the behind-the-scenes, candid moments of your wedding day as they naturally unfold. While your photographer is focused on portraits and your videographer is creating something cinematic, I’m documenting everything in between—the real, unfiltered moments you might not even realize are happening.

How are you different from a videographer?

Think of it this way—videographers create a beautiful, cinematic version of your day that you’ll watch later. I capture your day exactly as it felt in real time. Nothing overly staged, nothing forced. And the best part? You get it all back within 24–48 hours.

Do you replace a photographer or videographer?

Nope! While some couples do choose to have a content creator instead of a videographer, it doesn’t replace them. Every couple builds their vendor team a little differently. Some have a photographer and content creator, while others go all in with a photographer, videographer, drone coverage, and a content creator. It really just depends on what matters most to you and how you want your day captured!

What is your shooting style?

Very candid, very documentary. I’m always looking for the in-between moments—the reactions, the chaos, the laughter, the little things that actually make your day feel like your day.

The Experience

What do we receive and when?
You’ll wake up the next day with hundreds of photos and video clips already in your hands (24–48 hours!). I also send over a highlight reel shortly after so you have something fun and shareable right away.

How many photos/videos will we get?
A lot 😅 I don’t limit what I capture—I’m documenting your whole day as it happens, so you’ll have hundreds of moments to look back on.

Will the content be edited?
You’ll get a mix of raw content and lightly curated clips, plus a highlight video. The goal is to keep everything feeling real while still giving you something polished to share.

How does coverage work on the wedding day?
I’m with you for the flow of the day—from getting ready (yes, I love those moments) all the way through the main events. I follow along and capture everything as it naturally happens.

What moments do you focus on most?
The ones you don’t even realize are happening. The reactions, the energy, the in-between moments—those are always the ones that end up meaning the most.

Do you work with our photographer?
Yes! I’m super mindful of your photographer and work seamlessly alongside them. We each have our role, and it all comes together really beautifully.

Content & Style

What format is everything delivered in?
Everything is shot on iPhone in vertical format, so it’s already perfect for Instagram, TikTok, and easy sharing.

Will you pose us or tell us what to do?
Very minimally. I’ll guide you if needed, but for the most part, I want you to just be in the moment and enjoy your day.

What if we’re awkward on camera?
Honestly, most couples feel this way. Because I’m not forcing anything, you won’t feel like you’re “on camera”—you’ll just be living your day.

Can you capture content for social media?
Yes—this is exactly what I’m here for. Everything is shot and delivered in a way that’s ready to share right away. I also offer social media takeovers, where I can post for you in real time on your wedding day so your friends and family can follow along as it’s happening.
